Nancy McGee, PresidentNancy McGee is the founding President of the AGLR. She recently relocated to Sète from Aix en Provence where she has been a member of the AAGP (Anglo-American Group of Provence ) for over 10 years.

Originally from Baie Comeau, Quebec, she has been living in the South of France for the past 30 years. She graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a BA in English and French. She was awarded for her athletic skills on the varsity basketball team throughout her studies.

Nancy McGee has held a number of positions in Corporate Event Management and Public Affairs (International Development Research Corporation in Ottawa, Data for Development/United Nations, SGS-Thomson Microelectronics, and Coca-Cola Enterprises France) acquiring in-depth knowledge of French lifestyle as well as extensive social and professional networking. She currently runs her own business "Absolutely” Southern France.

Nancy has a daughter Kelly who is 21 and in her final year of  international finances at Manchester Met and a son Allen, who is 19 and studying at ESPME business school in Nice. She also has two beautiful Birmese cats.

Patricia Ford, Treasurer of the AGLR, moved to Sète in August 2010 having spent more than 30 years in New York City. Originally from the UK, she worked for the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, then moved to Montreal and found a position at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), a UN Agency. However, after a brief visit to New York, the bright lights and vibrancy of ‘The City that Never Sleeps’ lured her south of the border to the United States. Upon arrival in New York, she gathered no moss by finding a position with Rolling Stone magazine. What followed was a life spent primarily in the communications industry, notably : publicist for Cunard Line; editor-in-chief of Beauty Handbook, a health and beauty magazine ; and varied assignments with William Morrow, a leading New York book publisher. Finally, she passed her days helping a well-known New York philanthropist and financier dispense his wealth before opting for a quiet life in the South of France. After encountering the AGLR, Patricia Ford has discovered that a quiet life in the South of France is out of the question! Notwithstanding, she has settled quite happily in Sète..
